Cineplex Cinemas

This building consists of a structural steel shell (exterior) with insulated precast concrete panels. The interior is also structural steel with light-weight steel framing for the bleachers. There are multiple levels and many platforms where intricate coordination was required. SWS Engineering has developed many unique structural details for the bleachers to address vibration, sound, and constructability issues, which were used on this project. The theatre was supported on conventional plain and reinforced concrete footings.
