VIP Cinemas Renovation – Yonge & Eglinton

SWS Engineering collaborated with the Architect and base building Engineer on the best methods to implement the three new VIP cinemas for this extensive renovation / addition project. There was a significant amount of coordination required for the installation of the new bleachers. The addition of a new elevator and stairwell presented a noteworthy challenge due to the many different floor elevations and multiple previous renovations performed in this space. The added structure consisted primarily of light steel framing (LSF), concrete on metal deck, and elaborate structural steel.
